She began teaching Healthcare Informatics and Nursing Ethics as an adjunct in Geneva’s nursing program in the fall of 2022. \nDetwiler has worked for 25 years at UPMC Passavant Hospital. She has over 35 years of experience as a professional nurse, including med-surg, emergency, school, long-term care, neurosurgery, and nursing informatics. She also has over 20 years of experience as a camp nurse and coordinator of health services. \nShe earned an MA in nursing education from Western Governors University and a BSN from Messiah College.
