A lot can happen in four years. The years can fly by and, for many people, there are many missed opportunities to continue their education. However, Geneva College graduate Charles Drinkard, Jr. proves that with direction and determination, four years is plenty of time to accomplish your goals.

Charles had recently been transferred to serve as the chief pastor at a church in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. Upon arrival there he knew that he must begin the search for a program that allowed him to finish his bachelor′s degree convenient to his new home and work.

After careful search, Charles found the Geneva College Adult Degree Completion Program (ADCP). He enrolled as an organizational development student in the fall of 2007. He found his ADCP experience to be “intellectually challenging and spiritually fulfilling.” The academic rigor he faced working on his bachelor′s degree prepared him to begin his master′s in Geneva′s organizational leadership program (MSOL). “Each subject within the ADCP program prepared me for the MSOL program,” he says. “Each course within the MSOL program was strategically placed within the curriculum to build upon the previous.” With the combination of his determination and academic preparedness, Charles graduated with his classmates this May, earning an M.S. degree in organizational leadership.

And consistent with the law of inertia, that objects in motion tend to say in motion, Charles kept going. Two days after graduating from MSOL, he began classes at Regent University′s School of Global Leadership and Entrepreneurship to complete a Ph.D. in organizational leadership. And even at this early stage in his coursework, he is realizing the great value of his Geneva College education. “If you are looking for a great education, rooted in biblical principles and designed to prepare you for future educational pursuits, then Geneva College is the right choice.”
