Important Notice: Geneva’s Daily Health Screening
Geneva College is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our students, faculty and staff as we meet face-to-face on campus for our ministry of education. We know that to do so requires a vigilant and unified effort.

An important tool in helping to keep our community safe as we join together on campus is the Daily Health Screening, and we expect everyone to complete it daily, whether or not you are on campus. The reason is that symptoms come and go, so a daily response is needed to better assess a person’s health. To encourage regular participation in Health Screening, Geneva will charge a daily $5 fee to students who don’t complete it.

Traditional students have already been notified of this and are being charged a fee when they don’t participate – but you, as a classroom Graduate – had not been notified. You may have incorrectly been informed of a charge for not participating, and if that’s the case we apologize for that. Please disregard any notice.

Here's what you need to know from hereon in:
  • We expect you to complete your Daily Health Screening every day whether or not you are on campus. You receive a GC Alert reminder each morning – and an email later if you don’t complete it.
  • Beginning tomorrow (Tuesday, January 26), Graduate students will be given three grace “misses” before charges begin.
  • Any moneys collected will go to improving the isolation and quarantine experience for undergraduate students.
  • We’re all called to care for our community. Faculty and staff are also being penalized when they don’t complete their Daily Health Screening.
  • We’ve wrestled with enforcing requirements on the Lord’s day. While you are encouraged to complete the screening seven days a week, you will not be charged if you miss on Sunday. But please understand it is especially important to complete the Health Screening when you experience symptoms, no matter the day.
Thank you for your cooperation. We will be sharing more information with you.
