Student Complaint Resolution


Geneva College makes every effort to resolve student complaints internally, using policies and procedures outlined in the current College Catalog or Student Handbook.

For procedures regarding:

  • Academic Grade Appeal: refer to the Academic Policies and the student grade appeal procedures available in the College Catalog
  • Academic Honesty Violations: refer to the Academic Integrity portion of the Student Handbook or consult the academic dean: mstephen@geneva.edu
  • Sexual Harassment or Discrimination: refer to Sexual Misconduct Policy or Make a Report
  • Title IX: refer to Sexual Misconduct Policy or Make a Report
  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA): refer to the FERPA policy within the Student Handbook
  • Criminal Activity: Complaints involving matters of a criminal nature, such as assault, battery, and theft should be directed to Campus Security at 724-846-9632

If a resolution cannot be reached following the Universities Student Complaint Resolution process:

  • Students residing in Pennsylvania: In the unlikely event that an issue cannot be resolved through the institutional complaint process, students residing in Pennsylvania should contact the Pennsylvania Department of Education the applicable agency for oversight in resolving complaints.
