March Matchness Results

March Matchness - Thank You!

We have the most amazing alumni and friends! Because of your generosity, we surpassed our goal to raise $160,000 for our students during the month of March. The Geneva College Advancement Board and Trustees raised a giving challenge to match all gifts totaling $160,000, but you gave MORE! More than $250,193 was given by 667 donors during the month of March for a total of $410,193+.

We thank the Lord for your generous hearts!

It's Time To Vote!

Each year there are alumni council members whose term limits expire. Those members can accept an opportunity to serve again or decline thereby creating the need for a new member. This year, we are able to welcome one new member to the Council! The entire Alumni Association is presented with opportunity to vote via survey for the members on the ballot or they can write-in additional candidates.

Sarah Stover '18 is currently working at Highlands Hospital’s Regional Center for Autism as a Classroom Behavioral Therapist, working one-on-one or one-on-two with students on the spectrum, ranging from less profoundly affected to very profoundly affected. She resides in Scottdale, PA.

Pricilla Robertson '15 MSOL Received her Doctor of Education in Administration and Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is the Interim Assistant Director of Military and Veteran Services at Community College of Allegheny County.

Dr. Ian MacKenzie '14 graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with his Ph.D. in Chemistry.

Melissa (Brooks) Boehret '08 and husband Seth welcomed their son Cameron Dennis Boehret on February 12, 2018. He joins siblings Ellie and Adrian.

Sara (Sandherr) Taylor '95 and her husband, Damen, welcomed their first grandchild in 2018! The family resides in Pittsburgh, PA.

Dr. David Howard Jr. '74 retired in May 2018 after 36 years of teaching Old Testament and Hebrew at Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, Minnesota), Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, Illinois), and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Vivian Hewitt '43 celebrated her 95th birthday at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York City on February 17, 2015. Former Geneva College chaplain Dr. Tim Russell and others were in attendance.

Now Accepting Hall of Fame Induction Nominations: due July 22

Geneva College and the Golden Tornadoes opened its Athletic Hall of Fame doors in 2016, and has since inducted 24 former athletes. The inductees represent nearly every era of Geneva athletics dating back to the 1920s through early 2000s. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2019 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony taking place on September 14. Submit a nomination today!

Homecoming 2019 Save The Date

Save the date for Homecoming 2019—September 27-28. Class years ending in 4 and 9 will celebrate reunions this fall.

Departments including Engineering (100 years!), Business/ Accounting/ Aviation/ Sports Management, Psychology/ Sociology/ Human Services/ Criminal Justice, and Bible/ Ministry/ Philosophy will host reunions and invite graduates back to campus to see what’s new. We hope you’ll join us!
