Need 2 Know!

Campus Closure Continues Through June

No activities, including camps, conferences, open houses and other events, will be held on campus in May or June. We will continue to monitor the situation related to the Coronavirus pandemic, especiallly guidelines and restrictions, as we determine our response at later times.

Books for Summer Classes

Textbooks and course material for the all summer classes can be ordered from www.genevacollegeshop.com. Free ground shipping on all orders will be available until May 1. (After May 1, you can still order, but there will be a shipping charge.) Campus Store staff have very limited access to the store, which may create a small delay, so please plan ahead and order accordingly.

Room & Board Reimbursement

Geneva is reimbursing students for prorated Room and Board, and certain course fees – which totals approximately $1.5 million. We recently informed students of their specific reimbursement amounts.

We sent reimbursements via direct deposit through the federal clearinghouse system to begin arriving in bank accounts as early as Monday, April 27. The specific timing depends on each bank’s processes. Where applicable, printed checks were mailed April 27.

May@Geneva Will be Totally Online

Summer classes that were scheduled to meet on campus will be moved online. Students can anticipate that the class schedule will remain as published unless their professors contact them to discuss a different schedule. Questions about summer courses can be directed to the professors of individual classes or to CrossRoads.

The Cabinet!
Have you been checking into the social media version of The Cabinet?

Students have been busy writing and publishing – just in a new way. Response to chapel on the grid, what seniors lament about this semester’s loss, and international students making the most of the quarantine are just a few of the topics covered.

Hopefully you’ve found it already, but if not, check it out.

Get Ready for MGN
My Generation Night (MGN) is fun, it’s tradition and a showcase for the talent of Geneva’s students. While we’re used to it being on a stage with everyone together, we can transition to Virtual MGN this year. We can still have fun, partake in this annual tradition and enjoy the showcase of Geneva’s students’ talents.

Get ready for Virtual MGN on CSE’s social media pages on May 1 at 8 p.m. Join with fellow students online and be prepared to be amazed!
