Today's Bottom Line:
Mask Requirements
In dealing with COVID-19 these past 14 months, Geneva has followed the guidance and protocols as established by federal and state health agencies. We are once again following guidelines of the CDC and the PA Department of Health, specifically related to protocols following full vaccination against COVID-19. Currently, this means that if one is fully vaccinated, it is not necessary to wear a mask or physically distance when on the Geneva College campus.

While we encourage COVID-19 vaccination, we honor those who decide not to get vaccinated because of medical or religious reasons. We ask everyone to care for our community by either: getting vaccinated; or wearing a mask and completing a health screening when on campus.

The PA Department of Health has said that it may remove all mask requirements later this month – well before classes begin again on campus. We'll keep you informed of changing protocols in the state and on campus.

Vaccine Facts
A person is considered to be fully vaccinated two weeks after either:
  • Receiving the second dose of a two-dose vaccine such as Pfizer or Moderna vaccines
  • Receiving your singe-dose vaccine such as Johnson & Johnson
Post-COVID immunity is not the same as being vaccinated.

Students who would like to get vaccinated during summer break have ample time to do so. COVID-19 vaccines are readily available now in all parts of the country. The vaccine provider locator link below may help.

If and when your student is vaccinated, we ask them to upload the information to Geneva's private student health website, PyraMed. This will help them gain benefits due when they are considered to be fully vaccinated.

Check Out Chapel
Chapel is an important program in a Geneva College education. Once a week, students, faculty and staff gather in person or virtually to participate in this time of hearing God's word and speaking to him in prayer and song. Recordings of Chapel sessions from the past year and back further are available for anyone to view, including parents.

Annual Geneva College Insurance Waiver Process

If your student has not completed the insurance waiver form to remove the Geneva College insurance charge from their student account, we encourage you to complete and submit the form at this time. Once we receive and process the waiver, Geneva College will remove the insurance charge from your student's account and update the balance due.

To help our students comply with this policy, each full-time traditional undergraduate student will be enrolled in a University Health Plan through Geneva College, UNLESS the student completes an online waiver with policy information showing that they already have health insurance coverage. The cost per year is $1,866 for the year. To waive the Geneva College health insurance and remove this charge from your student's account, one needs to go the University Health Plans website at https://www.universityhealthplans.com/. Have your insurance information ready to answer the questions. If you have questions, please contact the Business Office at 724-847-6543.

We were delighted to be able to hold Commencement 2021 live for our graduates and their families. Because of COVID-19 protocols and spacing requirements, attendance was limited to the event, but we were able to share it with the entire community.
