CRRSAA May Mean Money for Your Student
The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II) allocated funds to Geneva College, with a portion of the funds to be distributed directly to students. This is for emergency financial aid grants to help cover expenses for any component of a student's cost of attendance and emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus (such as tuition, food, housing, health care - including mental health, and child care).

The Department of Education provided guidance on how the College should distribute the HEERF II funds in the hands of eligible students and prioritizes students with exceptional financial need. More information is posted on the website at https://www.geneva.edu/crrsaa AND personalized emails have been sent to all students who are eligible for the grant, defining exact amounts and instructions for pick up and distribution. Please make sure your student checks their geneva.edu inbox for an email from Tim Baird, Vice President of Business and Finance, in the event that they will be receiving the CRRSAA HEERF II funds!

Why Choose Grad School for Career, Calling and Life?

Geneva College Director of the Master of Arts in Higher Education program, Keith Martel, PhD, in cooperation with ChristianGradSchools.com, will present the webinar, "Why Choose Graduate School for Career, Calling, and Life," at 4:30 p.m. this Thursday, April 8. The session can be accessed live or later on-demand via the link below.

The webinar is intended for anyone who is considering graduate school to advance in a career or to develop a richer, fuller life. In his presentation, Dr. Martel asks attendees to consider the ways in which graduate programs open horizons to exciting opportunities in a multitude of fields, while also developing them as people in the Kingdom of God. He suggests in his talk that graduate school might be more fulfilling than one could have ever expected.

While serving as Director of the M.A. in Higher Education program, Dr. Martel is also an Associate Professor in the program and in Geneva's Core Studies Department. He earned a PhD in Philosophy from Duquesne University following his B.A. in Philosophy and M.A. in Higher Education, both from Geneva College. Bottom line: he's an expert in this area. Check out the webinar!
