Few academic endeavors match the satisfaction of analyzing a complicated work of literature or writing a perfectly phrased essay. In addition to delivering a personal feeling of accomplishment, these skills also translate to success in the workforce, as indicated by a recent survey from the National Association of Colleges and Employers, which examined the starting salaries of several different college majors.
The Geneva College English Department has the privilege of celebrating both the literature and the people who have been instrumental in helping students understand the question of what it means to be human. At the annual Geneva Reading Series, which takes place April 5, 2019 at 7 p.m. in John White Chapel, these conveyances will be honored.
