When I began working at Geneva: I started my journey at Geneva in July of 1988, as an Admissions Counselor, shortly after I graduated from Geneva. I accepted the position because I loved my time here as a student. Though I never set out with the intention to stay as long as I have, I also never felt the Lord leading me to another place. I came to the college as a student because I appreciated the Christian education that I would receive. Over the years, I have come to deeply love that the college stands firm on the truth of scripture, God’s unchanging, infallible Word to us. I love that the education Geneva delivers, through the Holy Spirit, has life-changing effects on the students. Now in a leadership role, I am blessed to serve alongside talented and gifted people who make up the Admissions Team as we strive to help students and their families make their way through the college search process.
Education: B.S. in Counseling and M.A in Higher Education, Geneva College
What I love about Geneva: I love the opportunity to serve Christ through education. I love the community and the fun, family feel of Geneva College. The welcoming and gracious hospitality creates a great working and learning environment. Once a year the Geneva Marching Band marches down the streets of College Hill; it’s something I look forward to all year.
Hobbies: A day on my bicycle is always a good day – rain or shine! I also enjoy working in the yard, gardening, taking on the challenges that a 100+ year old home, cooking/grilling and relaxing on the patio. I also enjoy relaxing beach vacations with my wife and family. I love to submit to the Lord and see where He leads me in ways of serving Him. Some of those things include serving as a leader on the Elder board of my church, a member of the Café ministry team, a host of a worship venue, and teacher of preschoolers in Sunday School.
