Bringing Alumni Together...

Sponsored by the Geneva College Alumni Council, the McCartney Society is a book study to provide a regular time of intellectual engagement, Christian fellowship, and devoted prayer for the mission and needs of the College. The group adopted the name “The McCartney Society” in honor of Presbyterian minister Clarence Macartney, a bold defender of the orthodox Christian faith in the early years of the 20th century and the namesake of Geneva College’s McCartney Library.

McCartney Society

The concept of the McCartney Society is simple: alumni and friends of Geneva College gathering to discuss great works of literature in order to cultivate practical wisdom for the Christian life. The McCartney Society seeks to continue the conversations begun in Geneva’s Humanities core curriculum, providing edification and fellowship for graduates and friends of the college as they navigate their callings in the marketplace, the academy, and the church.

Book discussions will take place at 7:00 p.m. ET with the dates listed below. We hope you'll join us!
