Program Spotlight

The field of web design is growing quickly, with jobs expected to increase 13% by 2030. Employers are looking for competent employees who understand intent, design, and execution of web development to enhance the user experience. To prepare yourself for this field, consider Geneva’s User Experience (UX) Design Program.

Geneva College partners with Rize Education to deliver a program that features exceptional online training from talented UI/UX and website design experts. This collaborative, hybrid program gives students the advantage of both an on-campus and online experience resulting in the most comprehensive education available in this high-demand field.

The UX Design Program, or Web Design Program, prepares students for a variety of roles within the industry. For instance, a User Experience (UX) Designer focuses on website interaction, information, architecture, and wireframes while a User Interface (UI) Designer focuses on a website’s visual design, graphic design, layout, and typography. A Web Designer creates the overall layout, visuals, and aesthetics of a website while a Web Developer codes all of the designs into a functioning website or app. Each role is essential for building and maintaining a successful website.

Students learn every aspect of the design process, including programming, prototyping, design, and implementation. Primary courses include Goal-Oriented Web Design, Communication Design: Digital, and Understanding User Experience. Students enter a growing career field with skills needed to thrive in any area of web design.

At Geneva, students receive a biblically founded education that prepares them for ethical practice in their career. Not only are the technical skills received in training, but the integration of faith and learning develops a deeper understanding of how to glorify God and serve others at every point of the design process.

If you are interested in pursuing an exciting career in a growing industry, then consider pursuing a bachelor’s degree through Geneva’s User Experience (UX) Design Program!
