AV/Events Specialist

Work Hours/Schedule: Varies, will be scheduled at least a in advance month for various events and work. Shift options available: Evenings during the week for on-call work. Weekend Shifts also available occasionally.

Primary purpose of position: To assist and support events on campus, in a professional manner while upholding the core values of Geneva College. To learn organizational skills and technical skills in producing and event and recordings of events.

Duties and responsibilities: Set-up tables and chairs when needed. (Physical Laborer) Run AV(Sound) Equipment. (Sound Technician)Setup, Run, and record events in a professional manner. (Cameraman and Editors)

Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds. Be able to set up and run sound equipment and manage it during an event. Knowledge of Adobe Creative suiteKnowledge of Da Vinci Resolve. Knowledge of other Audio Editing software (Cakewalk, Audacity, Reaper, etc.) Camera skills, setting up, recording and running. Knowledge of Dante audio systems (Preferred) Livestream knowledge (Preferred)

Education Requirements/Experience: N/AYou will learn some or all things on the job. Looking for Communication Majors but is not a requirement if you have the skills and knowledge.

College Mascot (Turbo)

Work Hours/Schedule: Schedule is determined by events in which the mascot is needed to attend.

Primary purpose of position: Attend sporting events, parades, Homecoming, and other college events dressed as Turbo!

Duties and responsibilities: Must be energetic, fun, and a good representative of Geneva College as our mascot. This involves interacting with students, alumni, and families while remaining silent but animated. #LI-DNI

Knowledge, skills and abilities required: No prior experience necessary. Must be able to wear the mascot costume for extended periods of time with limited visibility.

Education Requirements/Experience: Ideal candidates will have or be willing to obtain clearances/background checks to work with children.

Security Team Intern

Position Title:  Security Team Intern

Work Hours/Schedule: Monday-Saturday. Parking positions can start at 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sports security will follow Geneva Athletics schedule and Reeves Stadium schedule for high school games.

Primary purpose of position: Enforce parking policy on campus, placing tickets on vehicles without permits and vehicles parked in incorrect lots. Observe and manage crowd control for major sporting events on campus.

Primary purpose of position: Help with pre-practice/pre-game preparation and post practice/post game tear down. Student employees with be taught how to tape ankles, wrists, thumbs and other specialty tape jobs. Students will be taught first aid for wound care of abrasions and blisters.

Duties and responsibilities: Responsible for water distribution to all Geneva College sports team, pre-participation taping and general maintenance of the athletic training room.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required: All requirements will be taught prior to start of job.

Education Requirements/Experience: PED 255 and PED 247 preferred

Tiger Pause After-School Program Tutor

Position Title:  Tiger Pause After-School Program Tutor

Department: CSE, Various Locations off campus

Primary purpose of position: Work study students will be assisting in an after school program for elementary-age children in several locations off campus.

Duties and responsibilities: Work with individual students or with a small group of students as instructed by facilitators from Tiger Pause, Help motivate students, Provide support for Tiger Pause staff including serving meals and cleaning. #LI-DNI
