"When I was a freshman at Geneva, a friend gave me this verse and I have kept it to this day: 'As for you, even the hairs of your head have been counted. So do not be afraid, you are worth more than many sparrows'. Matthew 10:30. In God's eyes Devon's worth is immeasurable and God knew him by name-never leaving his side. Devon is now at home and at peace. May his family and friends draw strength and comfort from God's love. May we always remember how worthy we are in the eyes of God and make it a point to reach out to others to let them know their true value."
- Natalie Borkowski

"I was angry with my son the day the news came on that Devon was missing, and I remained angry and frustrated with him for days after. Then, I saw the interview with Devon's aunt...and her pain went through me from head to toe. I realized no matter how angry I was, I needed to find more positive ways to communicate with my son. I am glad to say, my humbling was successful and well-deserved. Since that time, I have followed Devon's search. I have looked at him through the eyes of a mother and I have grown to love his beautiful smile...even though he is a complete stranger to me. Today, I didn't look at his picture the same as I did before. Today, when I heard the news, I felt a sorrow so deep and a pain so sharp in my heart, it took my breath away. I loved a stranger...and today, I lost a friend. I was humbled by his story and I will be forever grateful that he opened my eyes to my own shortcomings with my son. Thank you Precious Lord for your child Devon and for Your mercy for those of us who have fallen short of your blessings. I offer my deepest love, compassion and prayers to Devon's friends and family."
- Michelle Walser

"It's been over a month since you've been missing but you are not forgotten. God put you and another Devon (who is "lost" in a different way... Autism) on my heart through some thoughts/dreams at night recently. I know this very unusual happening was the Lord prompting me to gather even more prayer support for both of you and your families now. You Devons and your families are not alone. You are surrounded by the love of God and His people. Jesus loves you sooo much."
- Mindy McMahon
"Whatever has happened in this seemingly hopeless situation Dear Jesus...to You be the glory. Devon's disappearance has caused us to come together and remind us that You are the Great I Am...the Only One is able to do exceedingly and abundantly all that we can ask or think. God we know through this and all things that Your Will is what's best for us. Your Ways are not our ways, but they are the highest and best Ways. Teach us to not lean unto our own understanding but in all our ways acknowledge You, and You will direct our paths. We eagerly await that direction Lord, in Your Time and in Your Way. Let this be a lesson to us all in teaching us how to pray and that we ought pray unceasingly. I lift You up in all the earth...God do what you do best...Never fail!"

"Although a few weeks have passed and frequent prayer meetings are occurring less and less, the memory and concern for Devon is still fresh in my mind. Our minds try to grasp for answers that are left untold and our minds wander to "why's" and "how's." We often forget who really holds the future and everyone in it. We often forget that life does not go according to our own plans, we are just a portion of the picture God is making. Why do we try to find closure in anything but the Prince of Peace? Lord, we lift up a broken yet unified community. Bring peace, bring joy, bring, hope."
- Mark Heotzler

"As a former campus chaplain, and current father of a son away at college, I can imagine how hard this is for Devon's family, friends and the Geneva College Community. I pray that the sovereign God would bring this young man back to his family and to college community and pursuits. I pray that all would continue in hope and support each other throughout this ordeal. It is unsettling and painful but there is a ministry to us all at such times as this to look to God in the mystery and comfort one another in every little way you can. It will be good for all. Still praying.
- Rev. Elward Ellis, Crossroads Presbyterian Church, Stone Mountain, GA

"The news of Devon Minor's disappearance just came to me as I read the February news on the Geneva website. The sadness is heavy on my heart. When I saw the scores of prayers for Devon and his family from his fellow students, from faculty and staff, from alumni, from parents, and from Geneva friends, I realized, once again, that Geneva is a family forever. My personal prayers go out to the Minors and to all who search for our young Geneva family member, Devon. God be with all of us who have deep concern. My small check to the family in their time of special need has been sent. I know others will join with me."

Have mercy on him and his family. In Jesus' name... amen."

Lord, we plead for your protection for Devon and we submit ourselves to the good you are orchestrating. Yours be the glory! Amen."

"My son attends Geneva. When we saw a report on our local news are hearts sank, wondering if it was our son. Finding out that it was not was comforting, but then our hearts turned to Devon's family. We prayed as a family that night that God would protect him. I have been praying for him. I put something on my facebook and others are now praying for him too. I was just sitting here praying and thinking again and it struck me that we should call all intercessors to pray for the whereabouts of Devon. God is pleased to reveal mysteries when we put our prayers to Him. So I am asking for all those who will, to begin to petition The Lord of Host, I Am, to give knowledge to give the exact location of Devon. God still answers prayers. My prayer is that Devon will be found and family will know the total peace of God right now. My heart goes out to family and friends who are close to him."

Lord put your hand into the situation, God show up. For we know that when you show up, everything will be ok! Touch the family right now God, touch the friends and campus at large! Keep them in the hallow parts of your hand God and rock them in the craddle od your loving arms at a time such as this. We know you to be a heavy load sharer God and ask that you would take the burden from them God and give them rest and peace of mind Lord!
