A Message From The Chair

At Geneva, we view the study of history, government, and society not just as academic pursuits, but as integral parts of our calling to love God and love our neighbor. Historians, political scientists, and sociologists tell stories and make arguments about why people did what they did and why people do what they do.

So studying these disciplines cultivates the skills of reading carefully, thinking critically, interpreting data wisely, writing coherently, and speaking clearly. These skills equip students for meaningful service to God’s kingdom, whether they pursue careers in business, the chpurch, education, law, public service, or other opportunities.
