CSI Summer Camp

Camp Dates: July 8 – 12 (ages 12 to 18 years old)

Campers receive a camp t-shirt, materials, and certificate.

Daily Schedule: Camp begins at 9 a.m. and ends at noon each day.

Cost:
Five-Day Camp (includes lunch): $150

During this exciting 5-day camp led by LPA International Forensics Institute, one of the country’s foremost experts in crime scene investigation, students will explore the fundamentals of being a Crime Scene Investigator. They will:

  • Work with a mock crime scene
  • Act as crime scene techs
  • Create a crime scene sketch
  • Take measurements and pictures
  • Collect evidence
  • Learn how to dust for fingerprints
  • Conduct interviews
  • Analyze interviews and take notes
  • Listen to 911 calls and learn how to analyze speech
  • Learn what victimology and suspectology are and the importance of each in a case
  • Spatter blood onto different surfaces at different speeds to analyze how blood acts on different surfaces
  • Learn about different kinds of blood stains and terminology
  • Learn how to reconstruct a crime scene using The Kaleidoscope System

This camp is being offered in cooperation with Beaver County native and Geneva College alumna Laura Pettler’s LPA International Forensics Institute
