Military Benefits Information

Welcome to the Military Benefits Information Page of Geneva College. It is our goal to serve you, the veteran, just as you have served us through your commitment to our country. 

As a new student entering Geneva College, your journey starts at the VA. Please initiate your benefits with the VA. It is important that you also receive approval from your Educational Service Officer (ESO), military counselor, or branch of service in advance of registration. Finally, every student planning on receiving military benefits must fill out the Military Enrollment Certification request form (listed on our Forms page) to request that we certify your eligibility.

Please note that VA Benefits are not currently available for the following major: B.S. in Business Aviation. Students requesting an Independent Major need to make an appointment with the Certifying Offical in advance to request program approval for VA Benefits.

If you have specific questions regarding Geneva's policies for veterans, please review the policies below:

• Dependent Students Living on Campus: When combined, Veteran's Benefit funds (tuition benefit only), Geneva funds (including scholarships), and state and federal grants shall not exceed the cost of tuition, fees, room and board. VA Housing Allowance funds are not considered in the calculation and are to be used by the student for personal expenses.

• Dependent Students Living at Home: When combined, Veteran’s Benefit funds (tuition benefit only), Geneva funds (including scholarships) and state and federal grants shall not exceed the cost of tuition and fees. VA Housing Allowance funds are not considered in the calculation and are to be used by the student for personal expenses.

• Dependent Students Living Off Campus: When combined, Veteran’s Benefit funds (tuition benefit only), Geneva funds (including scholarships) and state and federal grants shall not exceed the cost of tuition and fees. VA Housing Allowance funds are not considered in the calculation and are to be used by the student for personal expenses.

• Independent Students: When combined, Veteran’s Benefit funds (tuition benefit only), Geneva funds (including scholarships) and state and federal grants shall not exceed the cost of tuition and fees. VA Housing Allowance funds are not considered in the calculation and are to be used by the student for personal expenses.
