BEAVER FALLS, Pa.- Rev. Samuel "Billy" Kyles will speak at Geneva to honor Black History Month Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m. in Skye Lounge.

Kyles is the pastor of Monumental Baptist Church in Memphis, Tenn. and was a friend of Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Kyles led an effort in Feb. 1968 to gain community support for Memphis sanitation workers. The workers went on strike against low pay and poor working conditions. Kyles convinced Dr. King to come to Memphis in support of the strike. He was also with Dr. King when he was assassinated April 3, 1968.

Kyles will speak on his work in the Civil Right movement and his personal experiences with Dr. King.
