Beaver Falls, PA - Coming off an 8-4 season and its first trip to the NAIA national play-offs in seven seasons, Geneva′s football team has appeared in the NAIA top 25 for the 13^th consecutive season. The Golden Tornadoes are listed at #20 in the NAIA pre-season coach′s poll. NAIAFootball.net saw things a bit more optimistic for the Golden Tornadoes with a pre-season ranking of #12.

Geneva is scheduled to kick-off the new season at home on September 2^nd against 2005 PAC champions Thiel College. While Geneva finished the 2005 season at 8-4, the Tomcats came in with a 13-1 overall record.

Three-time defending national champion Carroll College, MT received 15 of 16 first-place votes to claim the pre-season top ranking. Eight-time MSFA Mideast League defending champs St. Francis, IN claimed the other first place vote and came in ranked number two in the pre-season poll. Geneva will meet St. Francis on November 11^th at home in the regular season finale.

Walsh University, Geneva′s homecoming opponent on October 14^th is ranked 13^th in the pre-season poll.
