Geneva Women Drop Two, Bring Home Fourth Place at Mt.Union

Alliance, OH - Geneva College to rival Malone to five games before falling 3-2 in the final match of pool play on Saturday morning. As a result of that loss, Geneva met host Mt. Union in the third place game later in the day and fell by the score of 3-1, which left Geneva in fourth place at the end of the day.

In the loss to Malone, Marisa Barickman, who made the All-Tournament team, pounded down 19 kills and added two blocks and 15 digs. Teammate, Megan Summers added 12 kills and nine blocks, while Caryn Azure chipped in with 42 assists.

In the second match of the day, Barickman continued her dominance with 18 kills, while Allison Seldomridge led the way with 20 digs.

Geneva is now 2-2 on the young season and will travel to Carnegie Mellon next Wednesday night.
