In the first half, Geneva made just four field goals and committed 13 turnovers in a 20-minute effort that saw the Golden Tornadoes trail 31-16 in the first half. In half number two, the Golden Tornadoes frantically came back and took a 49-44 lead with just 3:32 to play on Renee Rawding′s third three-point field goal of the half. Seton Hill, playing with eight freshmen on the roster, responded in veteran fashion by scoring seven of the game′s final eight points to get the victory.

Jenna Petrini′s three-point field with 2:18 to play tied the score at 49-49 and Elena Radenkovic sealed the game with two free throws. Rawding had a chance to tie the game with a pair of free throws with 1.8 seconds remaining, but she made just one of two and the Golden Tornadoes came up one-point short.

Rawding led Geneva with 15 points, while Jackie Anthony added 14 points in the loss. For Seton Hill, Radenkovic had 16 points and Petrini added ten points, including the key three point field goal to tie the game in the final minutes.

"I was very proud of the effort from our club in the second half," said head coach Ron Galbreath. "We really put ourselves in a tough position because of our performance in the first half, but to our players credit, they really came back hard. We just couldn′t close it out in the final minutes."

Geneva will get back into AMC North play on Tuesday when it hosts Carlow University at 7 pm.
