In a game that would have been easy to look past, the Golden Tornadoes fell into no such trap. Playing against a winless Myers team with the defending conference champions waiting in the wings on Saturday night, Galbreath did not let his team look past Myers and it was once again the defense that led the charge. Geneva came into the game as the number two ranked defense in the country and after 40 minutes, Myers University now understands why they have been so effective.

Geneva held Myers to just 35% from the field, while the Golden Tornadoes shot a solid 42% for the game. After cruising to a 32-15 lead in the first half, Geneva held on for a convincing victory in the second half.

Renee Rawding led Geneva with 14 points on 7-9 from the field, while Allyson Clarke chipped in with 12 points and Bethany Moles added ten points off the bench. Michawn Rich and Ruth Dobos combined to lead Geneva on the glass with six rebounds each.

Geneva will face defending conference champion Notre Dame College on Saturday in a match-up of two teams tied for the top spot in the AMC North with unbeaten records.
