Dr. Michael WilliamsBEAVER FALLS, Pa. - Theologian Dr. Michael D. Williams will speak at Geneva College on Thursday, September 25 as part of the J. G. Vos Memorial Lecture Series. Williams will address “Biblical Interpretation & the Concept of Vocation” at 7 p.m. in the John H. White Chapel in Geneva′s Old Main building. The event is free and open to the public.

An adult convert to the Christian faith, Williams is a professor of Systematic Theology at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a professor of theology at Dordt College for six years before joining Covenant Seminary′s faculty in 1996, and also spent three years as a youth pastor. He has written particularly in the areas of the nature of theology and theological method and history. His publications include This World Is Not My Home: The Origins and Development of Dispensationalism (Christian Focus, 2003) and Far as the Curse is Found: The Covenant Story of Redemption (P&R Publishing, 2005).

Dr. Williams graduated from Calvin College and earned his MTS from Harvard Divinity School. He received his M.Div. from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. For more details, contact Dr. Jack White at 724-847-6611 or jhwhite@geneva.edu.
