LOST WEEKEND, GENEVADROPS SECOND STRAIGHT
AGAINST PAC
FOE

Beaver Falls, PA -. Geneva′s volleyball team experienced a couple firsts on Saturday night and neither was a positive. The Golden Tornadoes dropped a 3-1 (25-27, 25-19, 25-19, 25-23) decision to Thomas More at Metheny Fieldhouse. For the first time all season, Geneva dropped back to back matches to a PAC opponent and for the first time this year the Golden Tornadoes got beat by the same team for the second time.

Geneva was coming off a 3-0 loss to Westminster on Friday night and it was also trying to avenge an earlier season loss to the Saints. Neither circumstance worked out as Geneva fell to 21-9 on the season.

Geneva snuck past the Saints 27-25 in game one and looked to be on its way to another victory, but the Golden Tornadoes could not answer the work at the net by Thomas More. Geneva′s Adriane Blake led the offense with 17 kills while teammate Michelle Zimmovan added 12 kills and a team best six blocks. Freshman Rachel Kuegler chipped in with 11 kills and four blocks, but it was not enough to derail a very solid Thomas More club that was playing its second match of the day. Earlier on Saturday, the Saints dropped a decision to Grove City.

Brandi Snavely continued her incredible season with 49 more assists while Blake led the defense with 25 digs.

Geneva will play its final home match of the season on Tuesday when it welcomes Washington & Jefferson to Metheny Fieldhouse. The Golden Tornadoes will close out their regular season next Saturday against Chatham and Saint Vincent.
