Beaver Falls, PA – The college basketball season has officially come to an end, but the post-season honors continue to flow in for Geneva College. Despite an overall record of 8-17 to finish the season, the Golden Tornadoes have certainly gotten their fair share of post-season awards. The most notable honor came on Tuesday when junior forward Rich Colick (New Castle, PA) was named a first team NCCAA All-American. Colick becomes the first Geneva player to be named a first team selection since current assistant coach Nate Conley received the honor back in 2006.

Colick led the Golden Tornadoes in scoring with a mark of 16.0 points per game. He also led Geneva with 7.5 rebounds per game. He shot 53% from the field and knocked down 15 three-point field goals on the season. Colick returned to the court this season after sitting out the entire 2007-08 campaign with a wrist injury.

Colick, along with teammates David Phillips and Justin Nardi were also named PAC coaches honorees, which is the equivalent to All-Conference consideration during Geneva′s Division III provisional phase. On the women′s side, Michawn Rich was Geneva′s lone selection to the PAC coach′s honors list. Phillips averaged 13.6 points per game while Nardi led Geneva with 96 assists while scoring 12.3 points per game. As for Rich, the senior forward posted a team best 12.9 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
