Muskingum, OH - Will the Geneva men′s soccer team ever allow another goal this season? That has become the burning question as the Golden Tornadoes posted their fourth consecutive shut-out with a 3-0 victory over Muskingum on Saturday. Geneva improved to 6-2 including a four-game winning streak in which it has not allowed a goal.

David Callahan has been in goal for every minute of the 2009 season and he registered yet another shut-out with four saves in 90 minutes. After a defensive struggle in the first half, the Golden Tornadoes managed to find the net three times in the final 45 minutes and break the game open.

Geneva got on the board in the 65th minute when a shot deflected off of Jake McCracken and found the net on an unassisted goal. Zachary Buffalini scored in the 77th minute to increase the lead before he set up Marcus Noel for the final goal of the match. Buffalini finished with a goal and an assist to lead the offensive charge.

Each team finished the match with 16 shots, but Muskingum only managed four shots on goal to Geneva′s seven.

Geneva will head into PAC competition next Friday when it travels to Thomas More before returning home on October 7th to host Bethany.
