Rediscover the treasure of Geneva College at the annual Homecoming celebration on October 10. Alumni, students, families, faculty and staff are invited to commemorate the newly renovated campus. From long lost treasures to brand new riches, this event offers plenty to do for all ages.

Celebration begins with an all-day scavenger hunt. Sign up at the registration table to begin your search across campus. The College Hill Festival brings crafters, vendors, live music and great food right to Geneva′s lawn between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Don′t miss an opportunity to enjoy games, face painting and a petting zoo. All events are open to the public.

A special reflection service led by Dr. Terry Thomas will be held in Skye Lounge at 10:30 a.m. Take time to reflect on your own experiences at Geneva College and how they impacted you personally. For all former RDs and RAs, there will be a special residential life reunion for the first time at Geneva held in the Brig at 1 p.m. Want to see your old residence hall? Tours will be given at 1:45 p.m.

Homecoming is a time for Geneva alumni to reconnect to their Geneva roots. A class reunion luncheon will be held at 11:45 a.m. to celebrate your reunions with your classmates over lunch. President Ken Smith will give an update about the current campus and a class picture will be taken.

Upon conclusion of the newly renovated campus, a dedication service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on the pedestrian walkway in front of Alumni Hall. Celebrate the improved campus with the Geneva community during a special commemoration.

Along with the festivities, Geneva′s athletics with be in tough competition throughout the weekend. Both women′s and men′s soccer take on Grove City at the Merriman Athletic Complex. The women will defend their turf at 11 a.m. followed up by the men′s game at 1 p.m. Women′s tennis will face off against Waynesburg College at the Beaver Falls High School starting at 1 p.m.

To conclude the homecoming festivities, join the college community at the recently renovated Reeves Field as the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes football team takes on the Grove City Wolverines at 4 p.m. Geneva′s Student Union wants you to show your spirit by wearing black in order to create a black-out in the stands. The half-time show will feature the crowning of the 2009 homecoming king and queen, as well as a performance by Geneva′s marching band.
