Crestview Hills, KY - The women′s soccer team had been playing its best soccer of the year heading into the first match against a PAC opponent. In fact, Geneva had won four straight matches and had not allowed a goal in three straight. Both streaks came to an end on Friday as Geneva dropped a 2-0 decision to unbeaten Thomas More College. While Geneva fell to 6-3 on the season, Thomas More improved to 8-0.

The Saints out shot Geneva 15-5 although only five of those 15 shots by Thomas More were on goal against Lauren Londino. Londino made three saves after posting three consecutive shut-outs. Thomas More opened the scoring 17 minutes into the match when a loose ball in the box was not cleared and the Saints managed to get a ball past Londino.

The score remained 1-0 until Thomas More added some insurance in the 64th minute of the match when a corner kick found its way directly into the net.

Geneva will return to Merriman Athletic Complex next week for PAC matches against Bethany on Wednesday and Grove City on Saturday.
