Greensburg, PA - One week after being named the NCCAA national runner of the week, Geneva freshman Shannon Rech once again led her teammates to a second place overall finish at the Bobcat Invitational at Pitt-Greensburg. Geneva′s women finished second in a field of 11 schools while the Golden Tornadoes′ men finished fourth overall out of nine competing schools.

Rech was one of four Geneva women to finish in the top 25. Other top female runners included Samantha Miller (13), Julia Urbanski (14) and Emily Hoobler (21).

In men′s action, Geneva featured two of the top 11 finishers. Nick Edinger again led the men′s team with a ninth place overall finish while teammate Ryan Thorn crossed the line in 11th overall position.

Geneva will have only one more warm up meet before the Golden Tornadoes compete at the PAC championships at Saint Vincent College on October 24th. Geneva′s national qualifiers will travel to Cedarville on November 14th at the NCCAA nationals.
