Beaver Falls, PA - The Geneva College women′s soccer team did not pick an opportune time for its offense to disappear. The Golden Tornadoes suffered their second consecutive shut-out and third in the last four games on Tuesday night in a 3-0 loss to Washington & Jefferson. The loss dropped Geneva to 7-5 while W & J improved to 6-5-2.

It was the second straight match that the Golden Tornadoes watched their opponents control the tempo and the field position. On Tuesday night, the President′s got on the board with a goal from Tiffany Sherred 21 minutes into the game. That score held up until two more insurance goals were scored in the second half. W & J got additional goals from Elizabeth Bendick and Chrissy Marcius to put the game away. Geneva goalkeeper Lauren Londino made nine saves but could not shut-down W & J′s attack of 20 total shots in the game.

Geneva will face another tough test on Friday as it concludes the three-game home stand with a match against Westminster at 5 pm. Geneva will finish the regular season with three of four matches away from Merriman Athletic Complex.
