Beaver Falls, PA - Gerard Muschette was an unstoppable force for the Geneva College football team last weekend. The junior running back carried the Golden Tornadoes on his shoulders in a come from behind 34-17 victory over Grove City. The win improved Geneva′s overall record to 4-1 and Muschette continued his assault on the Presidents′ Athletic Conference as its top running back.

Muschette was named the NCCAA national player of the week for his career performance last week. He carried the ball 17 times for 219 yards. He also scored on second half runs of three, four and seven yards as Geneva scored 34 of the game′s final 37 points to erase a 14-0 deficit in the second quarter.

For the season, Muschette is averaging over 111 yards per game and ranks as the top rusher in the President′s Athletic Conference. Geneva has opened the season with four victories in its first five games which is a dramatic improvement from its 1-5 start in 2008.
