Beaver Falls, PA - The Geneva College volleyball season ended earlier than anyone would have liked after falling to Malone and Mt. Vernon last week in what amounted to the NCCAA Eastern regional tournament. Despite those losses, the Golden Tornadoes finished with a 19-12 overall record and represented themselves very well across the Presidents′ Athletic Conference.

Those efforts were rewarded Monday when four Geneva players were recognized with Coach′s Awards from the PAC. The Coach′s Award is equivalent to All-Conference honors for Geneva which is still a provisional school in NCAA Division III.

Adriane Blake, Rachel Kuegler, Brandi Snavely and Michelle Zimmovan were all selected for post-season honors. Blake, a junior outside hitter, led the PAC with 3.51 kills per game. She threw down a total of 376 kills with a hitting percentage of .224. Joining Blake was senior setter Brandi Snavely and senior middle hitter Michelle Zimmovan. Snavely led the conference with 10.33 assists per game while Zimmovan enjoyed a solid season at the net with 132 kills as well as 42 service aces. Finally, sophomore hitter Rachel Kuegler was honored after posting 315 kills, 21 service aces and 40 blocks.

Sophomore Emily Bohman from conference champion Thomas More was named the PAC Player of the Year with Bethany head coach Courtney Kline receiving Coach of the Year honors.
