The 2010 Geneva College men's basektball team will head to the NCCAA national tournament this week in Indiana.

Beaver Falls, PA – Eight NCCAA teams will be headed to Oakland City, In. this week for the Division I Men′s basketball national tournament. One of those eight will be coming from Beaver Falls as the Geneva College men′s team took care of business in the eastern regional tournament with wins over Roberts Wesleyan and Nyack to earn a spot in the 2010 field. The Golden Tornadoes have an overall record of 16-11 and are headed to the nationals for the second time in three years.

The NCCAA announced the national tournament field on Monday with Geneva picking up the number seven seed out of eight teams. Geneva drew #2 seeded Mid-Continent University (22-12) in a first-round match-up scheduled for 1 p.m. on Thursday afternoon to open the tournament.

Each represented school is guaranteed three games at the national tournament but a loss in the first or second round would not allow that team to advance into the finals. A Geneva victory on Thursday would set up a game with the winner of Mid-America Christian (19-15) and Northwestern (19-7). The national tournament championship is slated for 8 p.m. on Saturday night.
