Gary Dunda to take over the reigns of the men's soccer program.Beaver Falls, PA – The Geneva College men′s soccer program was not in a great place when Todd Beall took over the reins four years ago. As Beall exits Geneva College to accept the same position at his alma mater Cedarville University, the Golden Tornadoes are in a much better situation for the arrival of newly hired head coach Gary Dunda. With a wealth of collegiate head coaching experience, Dunda will take over a Geneva College men′s team that finished the 2009 season with an overall record of 15-5.

Dunda has spent the last 10 years as head coach for the men′s soccer program at Goucher College in Towson, Md. Prior to his time at Goucher, Dunda had stints as the women′s soccer coach at Missouri Valley and the associate men′s and women′s coach at Ottawa University.

A graduate of Messiah College in 1997 with a degree in sport and exercise science, Dunda will also be joining the Physical Education Department as an instructor. In addition to his bachelor′s degree, Dunda obtained a master′s in sports administration from Emporia State University in 2001.

During his time at Messiah, Dunda played on the nationally recognized varsity team from 1993-96. A NSCAA National and Advanced Licensed soccer coach, Dunda has also had the opportunity to lead international soccer tours to Spain (2009), England and Scotland (2006) during his time as the head coach at Goucher.

“We are thrilled with the addition of Gary as a member of the Geneva community and athletic and physical education departments,” says Geneva College Athletic Director Dr. Kim Gall. “He comes to us with outstanding credentials and most importantly has a great passion to be coaching at a Christian institution. We are confident that he will continue to develop our men′s soccer program both on and off the field.”
