Cresson, PA - Geneva and Mt. Aloysius hooked up in a scoreless tie in women′s soccer for over 95 minutes, but it was a penalty kick goal off the foot of Rebecca Shaw midway through the first overtime period that gave Geneva a 1-0 victory to remain unbeaten at 3-0 on the young season.

The Golden Tornadoes controlled possession and field position for most of the game. Geneva outshot Mt. Aloysius by a convincing 18-5 for the game but was unable to get a ball past goalkeeper Cocola Bethany. Bethany managed to make ten saves before allowing Shaw′s game winner get past her in overtime. Meanwhile, Lauren Londino is yet to allow a goal against in 2010. Londino posted her third straight shut-out to open the season and 20th shut-out of her career. She is just one shy of Geneva′s all-time record for shut-outs.

Geneva heads to the state of New York this weekend with matches at Buffalo State on Friday and Medaille on Saturday. The Golden Tornadoes return home next Thursday to host Point Park University.
