Beaver Falls, PA - The Geneva College women′s tennis team returned home on Thursday in the first of back to back home matches in as many days. The first part of the double dip ended on the correct side of the scoreboard with Geneva defeating Waynesburg 7-2. The win pushed Geneva′s record back to the .500 mark at 4-4 for the season.

The Golden Tornadoes won two of the three doubles matches to begin the day and put themselves in a good position heading into singles. The duos of Kara Zimmerman and Chelsea Cover along with Cassandra Califf and Alyssa Kuhn each won their matches in number one and number two doubles by identical 8-5 scores.

Cover, Zimmerman and Califf each pulled off a double win day with victories in singles competition. Cover and Zimmerman cruised to straight set wins while Califf had to pull out an 11-9 victory in the third set for the win. Other singles winners included Amy Weller and Julie Kline.

The Golden Tornadoes are right back on the home court on Friday with a match against Thiel College scheduled to begin at 4:30 pm.
