Bethany, WV - The see-saw season for Geneva College women′s tennis continued on Friday with the Golden Tornadoes cruising to a 7-2 victory over Bethany College. Geneva improved to 6-5 with the victory and continued a string of rotating wins and losses that dates back to the beginning of the season. Geneva has neither won nor lost more than two matches in a row throughout the season.

On Friday, the Golden Tornadoes opened play by winning two of the three doubles matches against the Bison. Geneva′s number one team of Chelsea Cover and Kara Zimmerman won 8-2 while teammates Cassandra Califf and Alyssa Kuhn pulled out an 8-3 decision.

Zimmerman was the only Geneva player that pulled off a pair of wins on Friday. Zimmerman her number two singles match with teammates Alison Beattie, Amy Weller, Maura McLaughlin and Havilah Mohler also picking up victories.

The Golden Tornadoes will enjoy some time off before hosting Pitt-Bradford next Saturday in the next to last regular season match of the year.
