Beaver Falls, PA - The saying goes that all good things must come to and end. In the case of the Geneva College women′s soccer team, its 11 game unbeaten streak did just that on Saturday with a 6-1 loss to Thomas More. The Saints, who also came into the match without a loss, improved to 6-0-3 while Geneva fell to 8-1-3 on the season.

The Saints got their offense going early in often with three first half goals. Scoring goals in the sixth minute, 21st minute and 23rd minute to take a commanding lead, the Saints were far from done.

Geneva had allowed only three goals in its first 11 matches of the season and watched as Thomas More managed to double that total on Saturday. With three more goals in the second half, Thomas More opened up a 6-0 lead before Geneva was able to avoid the shut-out with a tally of its own. Risa Tillman scored for the Golden Tornadoes with less than five minutes remaining on the second half clock.

Geneva will look for its first win against a PAC opponent on Wednesday night when it welcomes Thiel College to Merriman Athletic Complex for the third match of a three match home stand. Following Wednesday, Geneva will have just two home matches remaining on the regular season schedule.
