Washington, PA - Washington & Jefferson has not lost a match in women′s soccer within the Presidents′ Athletic Conference all season. On Saturday, the Presidents′ went up against a Geneva team looking to put an end to a season long two game losing streak. The streak was extended to three in a 1-0 loss to W & J as the Golden Tornadoes fell to 9-4-3 on the season.

Geneva did not register a shot for the match while W & J fired nine shots with six of them headed toward Geneva goalkeeper Lauren Londino. Londino managed to stop five of those shots but it was the one goal in the 31st minute that proved to be the difference maker. Geneva dropped its second straight 1-0 loss and has now been shut-out in three straight matches.

The Golden Tornadoes have dropped four of their five matches in October after an 11 game unbeaten streak in the month of September. On Saturday, the Golden Tornadoes hung around all afternoon against first place W & J but simply could not generate any offensive chances against the Presidents′

Geneva will continue its road trip on Wedensday night at 7 pm when it travels to Westminster. The Golden Tornadoes finally return home next Saturday afternoon to face Chatham University.
