On Thursday, October 14, President Kenneth A. Smith and Mrs. Becky Smith hosted Geneva College′s 26th annual recognition dinner. About 190 were in attendance at the dinner, including current employees, former staff and faculty employees, and current and former board of trustee advisors.
Three exemplary service awards were granted to: Nancy Pelaia, staff support for Crossroads; senior admissions counselor Roger Blevins; and Ryan Holt, director of Student Programs and Leadership. Nancy Graham was recognized for 40 years of service, and both Paul Pishioneri and Daniel Raver were recognized for 30 years of service.
Six employees were recognized for 25 years of service: Elaine Hockenberger, Kay Mills, Keith Peffer, Carolyn Spinnenweber, John Stahl and Judith Zelesnak.
Nine employees were recognized for 20 years of service: Connie Erwin, Patty Fortner, James Gidley, Elizabeth Iben, Brenda Lichius, Paula Schmolly, David Shaw, Dean Smith and Ruth Vos.
10 employees were recognized for 15 years of service: Joseph Andino, Steven Bell, Sally Hardie, Ruth Ann Hartzel, Christina Mackenstein, Deborah Michalik, Ralph Phillips, Jade Radcliff, John Stein and Douglas Stopp.
Seven employees were recognized for ten years of service: Mark Haas, Vickie Lasure, Nancy Pelaia, Tami Reed, Karen Schmalz, Cathy Sigmund and Maureen Vanterpool.
12 employees were recognized for five years of service; including: Rodney Austin, Timothy Baird, Joseph Bucci, Ronald Clemmer, Terri Corcoran, Dennis Damazo, Joy Doyle, Deborah Henderson, Diana Rice, Yvonne Trotter, Keith Willson and Brian Yowler.
