Beaver Falls, PA - Geneva got just enough offense to pull out a 3-0 victory in game one of Saturday′s doubleheader with Saint Vincent. The Geneva bats went silent in the night cap in a 5-0 loss to the Bearcats. The Golden Tornadoes ended the day with an overall record of 20-10 as they lost for the seventh time this season after having won the first game of the day.

Julie DiLonardo was again dominant in game one allowing just two hits in a complete game shut-out. It was DiLonardo′s 16th victory of the season as she struck out seven and did not walk a batter. All of Geneva′s runs came in the third inning via the long ball. Martha Adams opened the third with a solo homer and Leanne Abate clubbed a two run shot three batters later. Geneva managed six hits in game one. Game two was again dominated by pitching but this time is was Saint Vincent′s turn to shut down Geneva′s offense. The Golden Tornadoes managed only two base hits in the night cap and watched the Bearcats post runs in each of the final three innings. An unearned run off DiLonardo in the fourth inning opened the scoring before a solo homer ended her day. Ariel Lilly tossed the final 1.2 innings and allowed a pair of earned runs.

Geneva will head south on Friday for a doubleheader at Thomas More beginning at 3:30 pm. The Golden Tornadoes will face Mt. St. Joseph′s on Saturday at 11 am.
