Beaver Falls, PA - Next year at this time, the Geneva College track and field team will actually have its results count among the other PAC schools. Because of its NCAA provisional status, the Golden Tornadoes are able to compete against the best the PAC has to offer, but its results do not count in the final PAC standings. On Saturday, Geneva competed in its final provisional PAC event with several of its top athletes performing quite nicely.

For the men, Dan Dillman posted the best distance in the men′s shot put with a mark of 41-01.50. Dillman also would have placed fourth overall in the discus with his mark of 132-05. Nick Edinger posted what would have been the fourth best time in the 5000 meter race with a score of 15:28.51. Finally, Ryan White posted the fourth best time in the 400 meter event at 51.04. All three men have already qualified for the NCCAA national meet in May.

In women′s action, Kathryn Regalado was second in the shot put with a distance of 38:00.25 while teammate Mary Keen placed third in the discus at 117-11. On the track, national qualifier Julia Urbanski finished with the top time in the 1500 meter event at 4:53.51 and the third fastest time in the 800 meter event at 2:23.00.

The Golden Tornadoes will send a record 20 national qualifiers to the NCCAA national track meet next weekend.
