Allyson Bentz receives her Exemplary Service Award from President Ken Smith.Geneva College hosted the 27th Annual Employee Recognition Celebration on Friday, May 13. Two-hundred and twenty people attended the luncheon to honor Geneva employees for excellent work and recognize milestone years of service.

Three employees were nominated by their peers and elected to receive the Exemplary Service Award based on their integration of faith and work, a demonstration of servant leadership, going above and beyond the call of duty and other criteria. The award recipients were: Brenda McCune, Mail and Printing Assistant; Patty Fortner, Administrative Assistant in the Physical Plant Department; and Allyson Bentz, Assistant Director of Financial Aid.

Bob Copeland and Kevin Greig were recognized for 30 years of service.

Three employees were recognized for 25 years of service: John Percic, Bonnie Willson and Larry Wingard.

Seven employees were recognized for 20 Years of Service: Todd Allen, Ann Burkhead, Byron Curtis, John Gerard, Paul Kilpatrick, Shirley Kilpatrick and Nancy Roperti.

Six employees were recognized for 15 Years of service: Louise Copeland, Janet Hines, David Kuhns, Midge Proya, Lori Symmonds and Pam Watterson.

Eleven employees were recognized for 10 years of service: Peggy Barger, Bob Frazier, Dianne Gayhart, Bob Harker, Bridgette Hinzman, Gloria Horner, Tom Magnone, David Smith, Sue Ann Starn, Marjie Tobias and Paul Wyant.

Fourteen employees were recognized for five years of service: Katie Floyd, Luanne Lathom, Sha Luangkesorn, Kristie Miller, Anne Modro, Denise Murphy-Gerber, Bill Nichols, Mike Pinchotti, Alice Price, Sue Riley, Stephanie Schindel, Andrea Smidt-Sittema, Gary Vander Plaats and JoAnn Westover.

“The Employee Recognition Celebration is a time for the campus community to gather in Christian fellowship, celebrate the accomplishments of our colleagues and recognize milestone years of service to Geneva College,” said Director of Human Resources Scott Sharik.
