On behalf of Geneva College, Provost Ken Carson presented a $10,000 contribution to the City of Beaver Falls during the City Council meeting held on the evening of Thursday, September 13.

Mayor Karl Boak expressed the city′s gratitude and accepted two checks: $5,000 for the Fire Department and $5,000 for the Police Department. Mayor Boak later presented the individual checks to Fire Chief Mark Stowe and Chief of Police Charles "Mick" Jones.
