Canton, OH - Geneva College women′s head basketball coach Lori Wynn spent the last four years as the head coach of the women′s program at Malone University. On Monday night, Wynn and the Golden Tornadoes visited her former school in a non-conference tilt that saw Wynn′s former team upend her current club 62-31. The loss was Geneva′s tenth straight and dropped the Golden Tornadoes overall record to 1-10. It marked the first time in school history that a Geneva women′s team has dropped ten straight in the same season. The school′s longest losing streak came at the end of the 1988 season and the start of the 1989 campaign that saw Geneva run off 13 straight losses.

Geneva′s offensive troubles continued against Malone as the Golden Tornadoes shot just 24% from the field in putting up only 11 field goals for the game. Beth DeLuca was again the only Geneva player to reach double figures with 14 points including three treys on the night on 11 attempts. No other Geneva player scored more than six points in the game as the Golden Tornadoes fell behind early and could not recover.

Malone took a 29-14 lead into the locker room and its 31 point victory marked the largest lead of the game. The Pioneers improved to 7-8 on the season with the victory.

The Golden Tornadoes return home and return to PAC action on Wednesday night at 7 pm when they welcome Chatham University to Metheny Fieldhouse. Geneva will visit Thiel College on Saturday afternoon at 1 pm.
