Geneva College is a proud sponsor of Experience Jubilee, a special event for high school students held on Saturday, February 18, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center during the 2012 Jubilee Conference. Participants will hear from authors and speakers, Derek Melleby and David Kinnaman, on the college transition. The group will then join over 2,500 college students for an evening of inspiration and worship.

The cost for Experience Jubilee is $15 per person, with a group rate of $10 for parties of eight or more. Experience Jubilee is open to high school students, youth pastors and parents. For more information and to make reservations, visit www.jubileeconference.com/experiencejubilee.

“Everything Matters” is the theme for the 2012 Jubilee Conference, which will be held from Friday, February 17 to Sunday, February 19 at The Westin Pittsburgh and the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA. The Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO) partners with churches, colleges and other organizations to help students live out their Christian faith in every aspect of their lives through the Jubilee Conference.

This year, three members of the Geneva College community will be among the speakers at the conference—Dr. Eric Miller, professor of history and humanities; Dr. Don Opitz, professor of higher education and sociology; and Kristie Martel, who works for the CCO at Geneva in partnership with the Center for Faith and Practice.

"The Jubilee Conference is about living faithfully in every area of life,” explains Martel. “For 34 years, college students have been traveling to Pittsburgh to talk, learn, think and dream about the public implications of their personal transformation. Whether students are interested in engineering or art, medicine or missions, Jubilee will have someone talking about what it means to be involved in these areas faithfully."
