Beaver Falls, PA - For only the third time in five years, the Geneva College softball team got swept on its home field. The Golden Tornadoes fell to Mt. Aloysius by scores of 5-4 and 9-4 to fall back to the .500 mark at 9-9. Geneva rallied from three run deficits in both games but ultimately fell in both ends of the doubleheader.

The Mounties broke the tie with three runs in the fourth before the Golden Tornadoes rallied back. Geneva posted a run in the fourth on a Martha Adams sacrifice fly. A five-hit sixth inning resulted in three Geneva runs to take the lead 4-3. RBI singles from Ashley Ritchey and Lori Deem gave the Golden Tornadoes the lead. Mt. Aloysius came right back with a pair of runs in the top of the seventh to win the game 5-4.

Geneva banged out eight hits in game one including two each from Ashley Davis and Adams. The Golden Tornadoes had nine hits in the night cap but it wasn′t enough to slow down Mt. Aloysius. Ashley Ritchey′s two-run double in the third tied the score. Mt. Aloysius rebounded with five runs in the fourth inning to break the game open.
