Geneva College is proud to sponsor for the College Transition Seminar 2012 spring tour, The College Transition: Your Purpose, Your Faith, Your Community. Designed for college-bound high school student and their parents, these multimedia seminars challenge teenagers and parents to think about who students want to become, what they want out of college, what they believe prior to going to college and who they will surround themselves with in college.

The seminars are hosted by Derek Melleby, Director of College Transition Initiative (CTI), which is a ministry of the Center for Parent/Youth Understanding (CPYU) and the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO). Melleby, a 2004 graduate of Geneva′s Master of Arts in Higher Education program, is the author of Make College Count: A Faithful Guide to Life and Learning, and coauthor of The Outrageous Idea of Academic Faithfulness: A Guide for Students, written with Geneva professor Dr. Don Opitz.

The College Transition Seminar 2012 tour will run from March 24 through May 5 at various locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio and New Jersey. A Geneva College admissions counselor, alumnus or parent of a current student will be available at each location to provide information about the academically rigorous Christian education offered at Geneva.
