An all campus faculty and staff fall retreat, "Love-The Evidence of Christian Community," will be held on Tuesday, August 14 in Alexander Hall.

The retreat opens with the annual President′s Prayer Breakfast at 8 a.m. Following this time, Kenny Crosswhite will speak and lead the discussion for the remainder of the event, which ends after lunch. Crosswhite, a frequent visitor to Geneva′s campus, is the Director of Perception Ministries and a NASCAR chaplain.

The retreat′s theme is inspired by Ephesians 4:11-32, centered on verse 13: "until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."

"The best way I can describe our hope for this time is to point to 2 Corinthians 3:18, where Paul said ‘Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another,′" says Scott Sharik, Director of Human Resources. "I ask you to please pray that God would walk among us, reveal Christ to us, and use this time to further transform us into the image of his Son so that our words, actions and interaction on this campus would best glorify Him."
