Waynesburg, PA - Sometimes the Geneva College women′s volleyball team makes it look too easy. It′s no easy task to go on the road and pick up a conference victory but that is exactly what Geneva did again on Thursday night. The Golden Tornadoes cruised past Waynesburg 3-0 to improve their overall record to 18-7 overall and 9-3 in conference play.

Geneva beat the Yellow Jackets by scores of 25-20, 26-24, 25-13 to get the PAC victory. Offensive leaders included Kristland McCracken and Rachel Netherland leading the way with ten kills apiece. Deanna Briody had 37 assists and 11 digs while Paige Banyas led the defensive charge with 13 digs in the match. Alex Baughman and Lynsey Gugino led Geneva with solid matches on the service line in what turned out to be a total team effort.

Geneva will get its rematch against a Thiel team that defeated the Golden Tornadoes earlier in the year. The Tomcats will visit Metheny Fieldhouse on Saturday night at 6 pm.
